Lessons Learned Grand Canyon Corridor Backpacking Trip
That we could successful tackle a big hike and complete it as a family
With proper preparation, including planning and physical training, hiking the Grand Canyon was challenging, but enjoyable, not something to be feared
We should invest in newer, higher quality equipment. A 9.5lbs tent, small backpacks with a lack of padding and hip support needed replacing. Quality equipment will help with the overall enjoyment of the experience. I consider good equipment as an investment, as most hiking equipment will have a reasonably long life span, and give years of enjoyment.
